AN ACT

To amend chapter 407, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to disposable cell phone purchases.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:


            Section A. Chapter 407, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 407.1600, to read as follows:

            407.1600. Any individual or business who purchases twelve or more disposable cellular phones at one time shall produce identification. The retailer shall obtain the name, address, and land telephone number of individuals or businesses who purchase twelve or more disposable cellular phones at one time. Such information shall be sent to the attorney general's office. The attorney general shall keep a database of individuals or businesses that have purchased twelve or more disposable cellular phones at one time.
