House Bill 1765

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF HANCOCK COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO APPOINT AN ADDITIONAL MEMBER TO THE COUNTY PORT AND HARBOR COMMISSION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 59-11-3, Mississippi Code of 1972, or any other provisions of law to the contrary, the Board of Supervisors of Hancock County, Mississippi, is authorized, in its discretion, to appoint one (1) additional member to the county port and harbor commission who shall be a member at large.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
