House Bill 4114

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARHSALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO EXPEND COUNTY FUNDS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COUNTY-OWNED FOOD PANTRY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may expend county funds to establish a county-owned food pantry.  The county-owned food pantry shall be for the benefit of the residents and is in the best interest of the county and shall benefit and advance the public good, welfare or safety of the community and residents of the county.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
