House Bill 798

AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, ANY AGENCY OF OR POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THE STATE FROM PROHIBITING OR IMPEDING THE USE OF CASINO PARKING FACILITIES AS STORM SHELTERS FOR HURRICANES, TORNADOES OR OTHER SIMILAR DISASTER EMERGENCIES; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The State of Mississippi, any agency of the state and any political subdivision of the state, to the extent such entity or entities determine eligibility of storm shelters, may not prohibit or impede the use of casino parking facilities as storm shelters for hurricanes, tornadoes or other similar disaster emergencies.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
