A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING AND HONORING MS. DEBRA BOSWELL FOR OVER 40 YEARS OF SERVICE WITH THE MISSISSIPPI ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE.

WHEREAS, Debra Boswell has been with the Mississippi Animal Rescue League (MARL) for well over 40 years, and during her tenure, her dedication and love for the animals in her care has been truly remarkable; and

WHEREAS, the former Executive Director of MARL, Ms. Boswell retired from that position a few years ago, but she stayed on with MARL as the Communications Coordinator, where she focuses her time on neglect and hoarding cases as well as public relations; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Boswell has utilized her vast knowledge and years of experience as she has spearheaded and worked on animal cruelty legislation, even securing the passage of some pieces of legislation; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize those caring professionals, such as Ms. Debra Boswell, whose dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of our animals brings great pride to the State of Mississippi:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby recognize and honor Ms. Debra Boswell for over 40 years of service with the Mississippi Animal Rescue League and extend best wishes for continued success in caring for animals and all other future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Ms. Debra Boswell and to the members of the Capitol Press Corps.
