AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 912, LOCAL AND PRIVATE LAWS OF 2022, TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF FUNDS THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SUNFLOWER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, IS AUTHORIZED TO CONTRIBUTE ANNUALLY TO THE FANNIE LOU HAMER CANCER FOUNDATION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 912, Local and Private Laws of 2022, is amended as follows:

     (1)  The Board of Supervisors of Sunflower County, Mississippi, in its discretion, is authorized to contribute an amount not to exceed * * * Twenty‑five Thousand Dollars ($25,000.00) Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) annually, out of any available funds of the county, to the Fannie Lou Hamer Cancer Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation, which operates a center for providing education regarding the prevention and protection from cancer.

     (2)  This section shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2026.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
