A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE CONGRATULATIONS AND COMMENDATION OF THE MISSISSIPPI SENATE TO MR. CHARLES R. CARR, RETIRED DIRECTOR OF INTERMODAL PLANNING WITH THE MISSISSIPPI DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, FOR HIS 41 YEARS OF EFFECTIVE AND DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI.
WHEREAS, we join the Director and staff of the Mississippi Department of Transportation and the citizens of the State in recognizing Mr. Charles R. Carr, retired Director of Intermodal Planning, for his 41 years of effective and dedicated service, contributing significantly to our transportation system; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Carr's contributions to his community have been nothing short of exceptional. Starting as a manager/director in 1982, his journey within the Mississippi Department of Transportation has led him through various roles, culminating in his tenure as Director of Intermodal Planning, where his leadership and unwavering dedication significantly impacted Jackson, as well as the State of Mississippi; and
WHEREAS, throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Carr demonstrated outstanding commitment, serving not only the City of Jackson, but serving the entire State of Mississippi:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby extend the congratulations and commendation of the Mississippi Senate to Mr. Charles R. Carr, retired Director of Intermodal Planning with the Mississippi Department of Transportation, for his 41 years of effective and dedicated service to the State of Mississippi, and offer to Mr. Carr and his family our best wishes for success in his retirement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be presented to Charles R. Carr and his family, forwarded to the Executive Director of MDOT and the commissioners and be made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
