     Requires DOE to post link to NJSchoolJobs.com on homepage of its website and to promote link through social media.

An Act concerning employment resources for educators and supplementing Title 18A of the New Jersey Statutes.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    The Department of Education shall post, in a prominent location on the homepage of its Internet website, a hyperlink to NJSchoolJobs.com.  The department shall promote the link through social media platforms as a resource for educators seeking employment.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill requires the Department of Education to post, in a prominent location on the homepage of its Internet website, a hyperlink that provides direct access to NJSchoolJobs.com.  This website provides current job postings for those seeking employment in New Jersey schools.  The bill also requires the department to promote the link through social media platforms as a job searching resource for educators.
