     Repeals law requiring prevailing wage be paid to workers employed in construction undertaken with Board of Public Utilities financial assistance.

An Act concerning prevailing wage and repealing P.L.2009, c.89.

 

     Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:

 

     1.    P.L.2009, c.89 (C.48:2-29.47) is repealed.

 

     2.    This act shall take effect immediately.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

     This bill repeals P.L.2009, c.89 (C.48:2-29.47), which currently requires that the prevailing wage rate be paid to workers employed in the performance of any construction undertaken in connection with financial assistance from the Board of Public Utilities.
