        AN ACT in relation to authorizing the  Rochester  city  traffic  control
          board  of  the  city  of Rochester, county of Monroe to regulate speed
          limits in such city
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the
     2  Rochester city traffic control board of the city of Rochester, county of
     3  Monroe, may by local law establish maximum speed limits at  which  vehi-
     4  cles  may proceed on or along such city highways in such city outside of
     5  incorporated villages of not more than the  fifty-five  miles  per  hour
     6  statutory  maximum  speed  limit.  No  such speed limit applicable on or
     7  along such designated highways within such city shall be established  at
     8  less  than  twenty-five  miles per hour, except that school speed limits
     9  may be established at not less  than  fifteen  miles  per  hour,  for  a
    10  distance  not  to  exceed  one  thousand three hundred twenty feet, on a
    11  highway passing a school building, entrance or exit of a school abutting
    12  on the highway.
    13    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
