       AN ACT to amend the  environmental  conservation  law,  in  relation  to
         allowing  the use of rifles for hunting in certain portions of Ontario
         county
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907
    2  of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 11 of chap-
    3  ter 483 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows:
    4    (i) The counties of     Deer, the first Monday  Pistol, shotgun,
    5    Allegany,               after November 15       crossbow,
    6    Cattaraugus, Chemung,   through first Tuesday   muzzle loading
    7    Chenango, Herkimer,     after December 7        firearm, rifle or
    8    Madison,                                        long bow only
    9    Montgomery, Oneida,
   10    Oswego, Otsego,
   11    Schoharie, Schuyler,
   12    Steuben,
   13    Tioga and Yates
   14    [and], that portion of
   15    the county of
   16    Broome east of the
   17    Susquehanna river,
   18    AND THAT PORTION OF
   19    THE COUNTY OF ONTARIO
   20    SOUTH OF U.S. ROUTE
   21    20/NEW YORK STATE
   22    ROUTE 5

    1    S  2.  Item  (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of
    2  the environmental conservation law, as amended by section 12 of  chapter
    3  483 of the laws of 2010, is amended to read as follows:
    4    (i) The counties of     Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
    5    Allegany,               first Monday after      crossbow,
    6    Cattaraugus,            November 15 through     muzzle loading
    7    Chenango, Herkimer,     first Tuesday after     firearm, rifle or
    8    Montgomery, Oneida,     December 7              long bow only

   11    [and], that portion of
   12    the county of
   13    Broome east of the
   14    Susquehanna river,
   15    AND THAT PORTION OF

   21  the environmental conservation law, as added by section 2 of chapter 600
   22  of the laws of 2005, is amended to read as follows:
   23    (i) The counties of     Deer and bear, the      Pistol, shotgun,
   24    Allegany,               first Monday after      muzzle loading
   25    Cattaraugus,            November 15 through     firearm, rifle or
   26    Chenango, Herkimer,     first Tuesday after     long bow only
   27    Montgomery, Oneida,     December 7
   28    Oswego, Otsego,
   29    Schoharie and Tioga
   30    [and], that portion of
   31    the county of
   32    Broome east of the
   33    Susquehanna river,
   34    AND THAT PORTION OF
   35    THE COUNTY OF ONTARIO
   36    SOUTH OF U.S. ROUTE
   37    20/NEW YORK STATE
   38    ROUTE 5
   39    S 4. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the  amend-
   40  ments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environ-
   41  mental conservation law made by section one of this act shall be subject
   42  to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph pursuant to section 13
   43  of  chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended, when upon such date the
   44  provisions of section two  of  this  act  shall  take  effect;  provided
   45  further,  that the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section
   46  11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made  by  section  two  of
   47  this  act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such para-
   48  graph pursuant to section 17 of chapter 483 of  the  laws  of  2010,  as
   49  amended, when upon such date the provisions of section three of this act
   50  shall take effect.
