       AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to permitting correction
         officers to be color blind
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The correction law is amended by adding a new section  22-b
    2  to read as follows:
    3    S 22-B. FURTHER QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT AS A CORRECTION OFFICER.
    4  EVERY  APPLICANT FOR EMPLOYMENT AS A CORRECTION OFFICER WHO IS QUALIFIED
    5  FOR SUCH EMPLOYMENT SHALL BE DEEMED QUALIFIED EVEN IF SUCH APPLICANT  IS
    6  COLOR BLIND.
    7    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
