STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 1767 2021-2022 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 11, 2021 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. PRETLOW -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to providing the Yonkers city school district with additional supplemental education improve- ment plan funds The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Paragraph b of subdivision 8 of section 3641 of the educa- 2 tion law, as amended by section 29 of part B of chapter 57 of the laws 3 of 2008, is amended to read as follows: 4 b. To the Yonkers city school district there shall be paid seventeen 5 million five hundred thousand dollars ($17,500,000) on an annual basis 6 plus an amount equivalent to the percentage increase, carried to four 7 decimals, in the Yonkers city school district public enrollment pursuant 8 to foundation aid under subdivision four of section thirty-six hundred 9 two of this article from the two thousand ten--two thousand eleven 10 school year to the two thousand twenty-one--two thousand twenty-two 11 school year multiplied by the district's foundation aid amount. Such 12 increase shall not be subject to section two hundred eleven-d of this 13 chapter. Such grant shall be payable from funds appropriated for such 14 purpose and shall be apportioned to the Yonkers city school district in 15 accordance with the payment schedules contained in section thirty-six 16 hundred nine-a of this article, notwithstanding any provision of law to 17 the contrary. 18 § 2.
