       AN ACT to amend chapter 709 of the laws of 2005, relating to authorizing
         the  commissioner of general services to convey certain land in Queens
         county to the city of New York department of parks and recreation,  in
         relation to extending the authorization for such conveyance
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 709 of the laws of 2005,  relating  to
    2  authorizing  the commissioner of general services to convey certain land
    3  in Queens county to the city of New York department of parks and  recre-
    4  ation, is amended to read as follows:
    5    S  3.  The  commissioner  of general services is authorized to fix and
    6  determine the terms and conditions of such conveyance; provided,  howev-
    7  er, that such conveyance shall take place within [one year] ELEVEN YEARS
    8  of the effective date of this act.
    9    S  2.  This  act shall take effect immediately, and shall be deemed to
   10  have been in full force and effect on and after October 4, 2006.
