CLARK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to require seventy-five percent of the board members of a not- for-profit organization located in a city of a million or more to be residents of the same community in which such organization is located THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a not-for-pro- 2 fit organization located in a city with a population of one million or 3 more, shall ensure that seventy-five percent of such organization's 4 appointed board members are current residents of the community or neigh- 5 borhood in which such organization is located. 6 S 2.
