       AN ACT to amend the public health  law,  in  relation  to  disseminating
         information regarding overweight and underweight children
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1.  Subdivision 1 of section 207 of the public health  law  is
    2  amended by adding a new paragraph (i) to read as follows:
    3    (I)  HEALTH  RISKS  TO  CHILDREN WHO BECOME OVERWEIGHT OR UNDERWEIGHT.
    4  INFORMATION SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO PROVIDING CITATIONS  TO
    5  THE  DEPARTMENT'S WEBSITE, AS WELL AS OTHER APPROPRIATE WEBSITES PROVID-
    6  ING CREDIBLE INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT.
    7    S 2. This act shall  take  effect  on  the  first  of  September  next
    8  succeeding the date on which it shall have become a law.
