        AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to waiv-
          ing the thirty day residency requirement for certain hunting  licenses
          for  active  duty  military  members  and  their families on permanent
          orders to be stationed within the state

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Section  11-0703 of the environmental conservation law is
     2  amended by adding a new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
     3    7. For the purposes of this title, an applicant  shall  be  deemed  to
     4  have been a resident in the state for a period of thirty days immediate-
     5  ly  prior  to  the  date  of application for a license issued under this
     6  title where the applicant is either:
     7    a. an active duty military member on permanent orders to be  stationed
     8  within the state; or
     9    b.  a  spouse  or child of an active duty military member on permanent
    10  orders to be stationed within the state.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
