AN ACT to legalize, validate, ratify and confirm certain transportation
contracts of the Hamburg central school district
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken
2 or caused to be had and taken by the Hamburg central school district and
3 by all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to
4 or in connection with certain transportation contracts E000042, E010526,
5 E010527, E010528, E010529, E010530, E010531, E010532, E010533, E010534,
6 E010535, E010537, E010539, and E610793 of the 2005-2006 school year with
7 various contractors, and all acts incidental thereto are hereby legal-
8 ized, validated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to
9 comply with the contract award, approvals and filing provisions of the
10 education law, general municipal law or any other law or any other stat-
11 utory authority, rule or regulation, other than those filing provisions
12 defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education
13 law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or ille-
14 gality in such proceeding had and taken, and provided further that any
15 amount due and payable to the Hamburg central school district as a
16 result of this act shall be paid pursuant to the provisions of paragraph
17 c of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education law.
18 S 2. The education department is hereby directed to consider the
19 aforementioned contracts for transportation aid as valid and proper
20 obligations of the Hamburg central school district.
21 S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
