        AN  ACT  to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring the use of
          remote training programs in code enforcement training

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Paragraph  (f)  of  subdivision 4 of section 376-a of the
     2  executive law, as amended by chapter 468 of the laws of 2017, is amended
     3  to read as follows:
     4    (f) [Cause studies and surveys to be made relating] Direct the depart-
     5  ment to use remote training programs using videos, computers,  or  other
     6  similar  technologies to effectuate the completion or partial completion
     7  of [training programs by video or computer] all initial  and  in-service
     8  training  requirements  required  by  this section to the maximum extent
     9  practicable;
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
