       AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to the provision of
         speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy  to  recipi-
         ents of medical assistance
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Paragraph (h) of subdivision 2  of  section  365-a  of  the
    2  social services law, as amended by section 27 of part H of chapter 59 of
    3  the laws of 2011, is amended to read as follows:
    4    (h)  speech therapy, and when provided at the direction of a physician
    5  or nurse practitioner, physical therapy including related rehabilitative
    6  services and occupational therapy; provided, however, that speech thera-
    7  py, physical therapy and occupational therapy each shall be  limited  to
    8  coverage  of  twenty visits per year; such limitation shall not apply to
    9  persons with developmental disabilities OR,  NOTWITHSTANDING  ANY  OTHER
   10  PROVISION  OF  LAW  TO  THE  CONTRARY,  TO  PERSONS WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN
   11  INJURY;
   12    S 2. This act shall take effect on the  same  date  and  in  the  same
   13  manner  as  section 27 of part H of chapter 59 of the laws of 2011 takes
   14  effect.
