        AN ACT to amend the mental hygiene law and the  state  finance  law,  in
          relation  to  expanding the legislative reporting requirements for the
          office of mental health and the office for people  with  developmental
          disabilities

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision (i) of section 33.07 of the mental hygiene law,
     2  as amended by chapter 37 of the laws of 2011,  is  amended  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4    (i)  The office of mental health and the office for people with devel-
     5  opmental disabilities shall, by the fifteenth day of  December  of  each
     6  year,  commencing on December fifteenth, two thousand eleven, submit and
     7  publish on its official website, a report to the  governor,  speaker  of
     8  the  assembly,  temporary president of the senate, chair of the assembly
     9  committee on people with disabilities, chair of the senate committee  on
    10  disabilities,  chair of the assembly committee on mental health, and the
    11  chair of the senate committee on mental health, detailing  how  persons'
    12  federal benefits are being utilized.
    13    §  2.  The opening paragraph of subdivision 2-a of section 95-e of the
    14  state finance law, as amended by section 7 of part AA of chapter  56  of
    15  the laws of 2020, is amended to read as follows:
    16    On  or before the first day of February each year, the commissioner of
    17  the office for people with developmental disabilities  shall  provide  a
    18  written  report to the temporary president of the senate, speaker of the
    19  assembly, chair of the senate finance committee, chair of  the  assembly
    20  ways and means committee, chair of the senate committee on health, chair
    21  of the assembly health committee, chair of the senate committee on disa-
    22  bilities,  chair  of the assembly committee on people with disabilities,
    23  the state comptroller and the public.  Such report shall include how the
    24  monies of the fund were utilized during the preceding calendar year, and
    25  shall include:

     1    § 3. The opening paragraph of subdivision 2-b of section 99-ee of  the
     2  state  finance  law,  as  added  by  chapter 125 of the laws of 2018, is
     3  amended to read as follows:
     4    On  or before the first day of February each year, the commissioner of
     5  the office for people with developmental disabilities  shall  provide  a
     6  written  report to the temporary president of the senate, speaker of the
     7  assembly, chair of the senate finance committee, chair of  the  assembly
     8  ways and means committee, chair of the senate committee on disabilities,
     9  chair  of  the  assembly committee on people with disabilities, chair of
    10  the senate committee on mental health [and developmental  disabilities],
    11  chair  of the assembly committee on mental health, the state comptroller
    12  and the public. Such report shall include how the  monies  of  the  fund
    13  were utilized during the preceding calendar year, and shall include:
    14    §  4.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
    15  the amendments to subdivision (i) of section 33.07 of the mental hygiene
    16  law made by section one of this act shall not affect the repeal of  such
    17  subdivision and shall be deemed repealed therewith.
