        COMMENDING  the honorees from the Brooklyn Club of
        the  National  Association  of  Negro  Business  and
        Professional  Women's Clubs, Inc. at its 55th Annual
        Founders' Day Observance event on May 21, 2023

  WHEREAS, From time to time  this  Legislative  Body  takes  note  of
certain   extraordinary  individuals  and  organizations  it  wishes  to
recognize for their valued contributions to the success and progress  of
society and publicly acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the
basic humanity among us all; and

  WHEREAS,  This  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to commend the
honorees from the Brooklyn Club of the  National  Association  of  Negro
Business  and  Professional  Women's  Clubs,  Inc.  at  its  55th Annual
Founders' Day Observance event on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Gargiulo's in
Brooklyn, New York; and

  WHEREAS, The Brooklyn Club of  the  National  Association  of  Negro
Business  and Professional Women's Clubs (NANBPWC) annually acknowledges
their Founders; the shoulders on which they  stand,  and  the  role  and
responsibility to prepare their young people for the future; and

  WHEREAS,  This  year's  theme  is  "78 years of S.I.P.: Systemically
Intensifying Progression Continues!"; and

  WHEREAS, During this auspicious  occasion,  the  Club  will  present
several awards to outstanding African American women for their steadfast
and  unremitting  commitment  to  their community and will award several
Club scholarships and three Legendary Scholarships  to  graduating  high
school seniors; and

  WHEREAS,  Tonya  Webster,  1st  Vice President of the Brooklyn Club,
NANBPWC, Appreciation Award; and

  WHEREAS, Anita L. Pierce, Founder and CEO,  Eleven3seven5,  Business
Award; and

  WHEREAS,  Kameelah  Samar  Majied,  Global  Virtual  Plant  Manager,
Operations Lead, Merck Manufacturing Division, Professional Award; and

  WHEREAS,  Ty'  East  Alleyne-Bobb,  Marketing   and   Communications
Director  and  Cabinet  Secretary  of  Lions  District  20-K1, Community
Service Award; and

  WHEREAS, Ama Karikari-Yawson, Founder of Milestales  Publishing  and
Education Consulting, Education Award; and

  WHEREAS, Chief Apostle Dr. Kim Best, Founder and CEO, Healing Hearts
Chaplaincy, Ecumenical Award; and

  WHEREAS,  Athena  Love  Beasley,  Junior,  Gotham  Professional Arts
Academy, Youth Award; and

  WHEREAS, It  is  the  sense  of  this  Legislative  Body  that  when
individuals  of  such  noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the  citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the honorees from the Brooklyn Club of the National  Association
of  Negro  Business  and  Professional  Women's  Clubs, Inc. at its 55th
Annual Founders' Day Observance event on May 21, 2023; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That copies of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to the aforementioned honorees.
