Senate Resolution No. 699

        COMMEMORATING  the  70th  Anniversary  of  Clinton
        Tractor & Implement Co. in 2023

  WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to  recognize  the
achievements  of  those  individuals  and businesses which substantially
contribute to the economic vitality of their communities and the  entire
Empire State; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
commemorate  the  70th Anniversary of Clinton Tractor & Implement Co. in
2023; and

  WHEREAS, In 1953, the Calidonna Brothers, Dominick, Frank, and John,
opened Clinton Tractor & Implement Co. as  a  response  to  a  newspaper
advertisement  seeking  a farm machinery dealer to serve the agriculture
industry of Clinton, New York and surrounding communities; and

  WHEREAS, Initially, the founding brothers  were  representatives  of
Triad  Tractor,  a  Ford  farm  and  industrial equipment distributor in
Yorkville, New York; in 1959,  they  saw  an  opportunity  to  move  the
business to Clinton, New York; and

  WHEREAS,  The  business  flourished  and  additions were made to the
store in 1959, 1970, 1982, 1999, 2010, and most recently  in  2013  with
the complete renovation of their inside showroom; and

  WHEREAS, Presently, John's children, John, Regina, Chris, and Becky,
along  with several third-generation family members, own and operate the
business with an enduring commitment to customer service; and

  WHEREAS, Clinton Tractor & Implement  Co.  is  notorious  for  their
exceptional  business  practices,  from  parts  and service to sales and
management; the company has been honored with New Holland's  President's
Prestige Award and Ferris Industries' New York State Dealer of the Year;
and

  WHEREAS, The success of Clinton Tractor & Implement Co. is in direct
correlation to the efforts the Calidonna family, and stakeholders, whose
involvement  is,  and  always  has  been, characterized by an impressive
commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm, and an uncompromising  standard  of
excellence  in all endeavors on behalf of the company and the population
it serves; and

  WHEREAS, It is  with  great  pleasure  that  this  Legislative  Body
acknowledges  this  exceptional  business  and  its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident  that  it  will  continue  to
enjoy  the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far and serve the
needs  of  the  agriculture,  construction,  landscape,   and   consumer
industries in the Mohawk Valley; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Clinton Tractor & Implement  Co.  in
2023; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Clinton Tractor & Implement Co.
