        HONORING  Dragonfly Art and Soul upon the occasion
        of  its  designation  as  recipient  of  the   Small
        Business  of  the Year Award by the Clarence Chamber
        of Commerce on March 21, 2024

  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize  the
achievements   of  those  individuals  and  businesses  that  contribute
substantially to the economic vitality  of  their  communities,  thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Dragonfly Art and Soul upon the occasion of its designation as recipient
of the Small Business of the Year  Award  by  the  Clarence  Chamber  of
Commerce,  to be celebrated at its Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, March
21, 2024, at Samuel's Grande Manor in Clarence, New York; and

  WHEREAS, Owner of Dragonfly Art  and  Soul,  Sarah  J.  Carr  is  an
artist,   stylist,   visionary,  professional  intuitive,  and  ordained
minister;  the  breadth  of  her  studies  includes   the   fine   arts,
cosmetology,   aromatherapy,  Reiki,  herbalism,  crystals,  meditation,
mediumship,  BioGenesis,  and  countless  metaphysical   and   spiritual
practices, including the Peruvian shamanic path; and

  WHEREAS,   Throughout   her  career,  Sarah  J.  Carr  has  traveled
extensively, working internationally as  a  photographer,  stylist,  and
makeup  artist  while  also  expanding  her personal knowledge base; she
began her first artistic business venture at  just  sixteen  years  old,
making tie-dyes and traveling to sell them; and

  WHEREAS,  Today,  this  successful  entrepreneur  enjoys sharing her
experience and knowledge to support and mentor others (of all  ages)  as
they  begin  a  new  entrepreneurship  venture  or  journey  of personal
discovery; and

  WHEREAS, Sarah J. Carr has dedicated her life to  service,  healing,
and helping others discover their gifts at her studio, Dragonfly Art and
Soul, which she runs with her daughter and partner, Darya; she carefully
designed  Dragonfly  as a magical destination where everyone is welcome,
seen, and heard.; and

  WHEREAS, Through her careful curation and dedication over  the  past
13  years,  Dragonfly Art and Soul has evolved into a community: a place
of hope, healing, and freedom where everyone's uniqueness and gifts  are
honored; furthermore, this illustrious small business houses the largest
crystal   selection  in  Western  New  York,  as  well  as  a  thriving,
collaborative local artisan gallery and boutique; and

  WHEREAS, Dragonfly Art and Soul is an extension of  Sarah's  mission
to  design  spiritual and creative spaces for healing and self-discovery
as inspiration for all to live profoundly, fully, and with grace; and

  WHEREAS, Sarah J. Carr loves being part of the  Clarence  Community,
and serves on the executive board at the Clarence Chamber of Commerce as
Co-Chair; and

  WHEREAS,  The  success  of  Dragonfly  Art  and  Soul  is  in direct
correlation to the efforts of its owner, Sarah J. Carr and her  daughter
Darya,  whose  involvement  is, and always has been, characterized by an
impressive commitment, an unbridled enthusiasm,  and  an  uncompromising
standard of excellence in all endeavors on behalf of the institution and
the community it serves; and

  WHEREAS,  It  is  with  great  pleasure  that  this Legislative Body
acknowledges  Dragonfly  Art  and   Soul's   success,   recognizes   its
contributions  to the local and State economies, and extends its highest
commendation to the business and its employees, fully confident that, in
its future, it will enjoy the same success which  has  so  characterized
its past; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor  honoring  Dragonfly  Art  and  Soul  upon  the  occasion  of  its
designation  as recipient of the Small Business of the Year Award by the
Clarence Chamber of Commerce on March 21, 2024; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Sarah J. Carr, Dragonfly Art and Soul.
