       AN ACT relating to permitting the Southampton Union Free school district
         to enter into contracts for the  purposes  of  providing  recreational
         services during non-school hours
         THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the  contrary,  the
    2  Southampton Union Free school district may enter into an annual contract
    3  for  the  purposes  of providing recreational services during non-school
    4  hours to the children of  the  school  district  with  a  not-for-profit
    5  corporation,  organized  under  the  laws  of the state of New York. Any
    6  contract shall be subject to the approval by  a  majority  vote  of  the
    7  qualified voters present and voting at a district meeting.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
