ROLISON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, passed by Senate and delivered to the Assembly, recalled, vote reconsidered, restored to third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of the state highway system as the "Chief Daniel Nimham Memorial Highway" The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 345-b to 2 read as follows: 3 § 345-b. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the 4 "Chief Daniel Nimham Memorial Highway". All that portion of state route 5 fifty-two in the town of Fishkill, county of Dutchess, shall be desig- 6 nated and known as the "Chief Daniel Nimham Memorial Highway". 7 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal- 8 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system 9 as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid 10 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the desig- 11 nation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of 12 ceremonial nature and the official name of such highway shall not be 13 changed as a result of this act. 14 § 3.
