        Introduced  by  Sen. REICHLIN-MELNICK -- read twice and ordered printed,
          and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Health

        AN ACT in relation to requiring the commissioner of health to  establish
          at least one state-operated COVID-19 vaccination site in certain coun-
          ties outside of the city of New York

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Within 30 days of the  effective  date  of  this  act,  the
     2  commissioner  of  health  shall create and implement a program to ensure
     3  that in counties with a population of at least  300,000,  determined  in
     4  accordance with the latest decennial federal census, and located outside
     5  of  a city with a population of one million or more, at least one state-
     6  operated COVID-19 vaccination site is open and operational with hours of
     7  operation, staffing levels and any other resources necessary  to  ensure
     8  that  such  site  operates  in  a  substantially similar manner to other
     9  state-operated COVID-19 vaccination sites currently in operation.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
