         printed to be committed to the Committee on Education
       AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to a study by superinten-
         dents to determine the job market need of their district
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. The education law is amended by adding a new section 3003-a
    2  to read as follows:
    3    S 3003-A. STUDY BY DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENTS. EACH DISTRICT SUPERINTEN-
    4  DENT SHALL STUDY THE JOB MARKET NEED OF THEIR DISTRICT AND REPORT TO THE
    5  BOARD  OF  EDUCATION  WITHIN  ONE  YEAR  OF  THE  EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS
    6  SECTION, ON HOW THEIR SCHOOLS' CURRICULUMS CAN BE ADJUSTED  TO  INCORPO-
    7  RATE COURSES TO ACCOMMODATE FOR SUCH NEED.
    8    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
