       Introduced  by  Sen. KENNEDY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
         printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
       AN ACT to amend the transportation law, in relation to the creation of a
         website where motorists can report potholes
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 13 of the transportation law is amended by adding a
    2  new subdivision 3 to read as follows:
    3    3.  THE  COMMISSIONER SHALL CREATE AN INTERACTIVE WEBSITE WHERE MOTOR-
    4  ISTS CAN REPORT THE LOCATIONS OF POTHOLES, CHECK  THE  STATUS  OF  THEIR
    5  REPAIR AND VIEW THE LOCATIONS OF REPORTED POTHOLES TO BE AVOIDED.
    6    S  2.  This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however, that
    7  effective immediately, the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule
    8  or regulation necessary for the implementation of this act on its effec-
    9  tive date is authorized to be made  and  completed  on  or  before  such
   10  effective date.
