| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Michael B. Donley on his outstanding service as secretary of the U.S. Air Force; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, Michael Donley has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Working in the field of national security for more than thirty years, he held a variety of posts with such agencies as the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee and the National Security Council, and he served the Air Force as assistant secretary and acting secretary before being confirmed as secretary in 2008; and |
| WHEREAS, Michael Donley is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader for our country. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given generously of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Michael Donley has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been associated. Indeed, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to our state and nation and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Michael B. Donley on his years of service and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
