| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Dr. Ronald E. Abrams on the memorable occasion of his retirement as president of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished service with the Ohio Association of Community Colleges, Ronald Abrams has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing his duties and fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Commencing his tenure in 2008, he previously served as president of North Central State College and Texas Technical College, executive director of the Amarillo Technical Center at Amarillo College, dean of instruction and student development at Paul D. Camp Community College, and chair of the Department of Technology and Occupational Education at Northern Kentucky University. He has displayed sound judgment, a stellar work ethic, and valuable job skills, and he is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Ronald Abrams is a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in his field. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has given freely of his time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has exhibited a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and |
| WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Ronald Abrams has shown in his endeavors have earned him the respect of all those with whom he has been associated. As he retires, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a valuable service to the State of Ohio and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Ronald Abrams on his retirement and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Ronald E. Abrams. |
