| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for speed timing devices. |
3 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
4 | hereby enacts as follows: |
5 | Section 1. Section 3368(e) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania |
6 | Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
7 | § 3368. Speed timing devices. |

9 | (e) Distance requirements for use of mechanical, electrical |
10 | and electronic devices.--Mechanical, electrical or electronic |
11 | devices may not be used to time the rate of speed of vehicles |
12 | within [500 feet] one-half mile after [a speed limit] an |
13 | official sign indicating a decrease of speed. This limitation on |
14 | the use of speed timing devices shall not apply to speed limit |
15 | signs indicating school zones, bridge and elevated structure |
16 | speed limits, hazardous grade speed limits and work zone speed |
17 | limits. |
