AN ACT

Making an appropriation to the Johnson Technical Institute of

2

Scranton for operation and maintenance expenses.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

4

hereby enacts as follows:

5

Section 1.  The sum of $173,000 is hereby appropriated to the

6

Johnson Technical Institute of Scranton for the fiscal year July

7

1, 2009, to June 30, 2010, for operation and maintenance of the

8

school.

9

Section 2.  Payments to the Johnson Technical Institute on

10

account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made

11

by the Secretary of Education in equal quarterly payments.

12

Section 3.  The Johnson Technical Institute shall provide

13

full, complete and accurate information as may be required by

14

the Department of Education or the chairman or the minority

15

chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the

16

chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations

17

Committee of the House of Representatives.

18

Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2009, or

immediately, whichever is later.
