AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, further providing for unattended motor vehicle.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 3701 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
§ 3701. Unattended motor vehicle.

(a.1) Remote starting device.--Notwithstanding subsection
(a), a person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle equipped
with a remote starting device may permit the motor vehicle to
stand unattended provided its doors remain locked while
unattended.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
