| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for multiple |
3 | war veteran plate; and, in fees, further providing for |
4 | exemption of persons, entities and vehicles from fees. |
5 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
6 | hereby enacts as follows: |
7 | Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes |
8 | is amended by adding a section to read: |
9 | § 1366. Multiple war veteran plate. |
10 | Upon application of any person who is a veteran of all of the |
11 | following wars: World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam |
12 | Conflict, accompanied by a fee of $20 and by such documentation |
13 | as the department shall require, the department shall issue to |
14 | such person a special registration plate designating the vehicle |
15 | so registered as belonging to a person who is a veteran of all |
16 | of those three wars. The special registration plate may be used |
17 | only on one passenger vehicle or one other vehicle with a gross |
18 | weight of not more than 9,000 pounds. |

1 | Section 2. Section 1901(c) of Title 75 is amended by adding |
2 | a paragraph to read: |
3 | § 1901. Exemption of persons, entities and vehicles from fees. |

5 | (c) Processing fee in lieu of registration fee.--No |
6 | registration fee shall be charged for vehicles registered by any |
7 | of the following but the department shall charge a fee of $10 to |
8 | cover the costs of processing for issuing or renewing the |
9 | registration: |

11 | (24) Any veteran who served in all of the following |
12 | wars: World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict. |

14 | Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
