AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

2

Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for multiple

3

war veteran plate; and, in fees, further providing for

4

exemption of persons, entities and vehicles from fees.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

6

hereby enacts as follows:

Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes

8

is amended by adding a section to read:

9

§ 1366.  Multiple war veteran plate.

10

Upon application of any person who is a veteran of all of the

11

following wars: World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam

12

Conflict, accompanied by a fee of $20 and by such documentation

13

as the department shall require, the department shall issue to

14

such person a special registration plate designating the vehicle

15

so registered as belonging to a person who is a veteran of all

16

of those three wars. The special registration plate may be used

17

only on one passenger vehicle or one other vehicle with a gross

18

weight of not more than 9,000 pounds.

Section 2.  Section 1901(c) of Title 75 is amended by adding

2

a paragraph to read:

§ 1901.  Exemption of persons, entities and vehicles from fees.

4

(c)  Processing fee in lieu of registration fee.--No

6

registration fee shall be charged for vehicles registered by any

7

of the following but the department shall charge a fee of $10 to

8

cover the costs of processing for issuing or renewing the

9

registration:

(24)  Any veteran who served in all of the following

12

wars: World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Conflict.

Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
