| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending the act of November 29, 2006 (P.L.1456, No.160), |
2 | entitled "An act limiting the collection of Social Security |
3 | numbers on State and local government forms; prohibiting |
4 | health insurers from using Social Security numbers; and |
5 | providing for duties of the Department of Transportation," |
6 | further providing for the effective date of the act. |
7 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
8 | hereby enacts as follows: |
9 | Section 1. Section 20 of the act of November 29, 2006 |
10 | (P.L.1456, No.160), known as the Social Security Number Privacy |
11 | Act, is amended to read: |
12 | Section 20. Effective date. |
13 | This act shall take effect as follows: |
14 | [(1) Sections 3, 4 and 7 of the act shall take effect |
15 | one year after the publication of the notice under section |
16 | 6(b).] |
17 | (1.1) Sections 3, 4 and 7 shall take effect April 18, |
18 | 2010, or 60 days following the effective date of this |
19 | paragraph, whichever occurs first. |

1 | (2) The remainder of this act shall take effect |
2 | immediately. |
3 | Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately. |
