A RESOLUTION

Designating the month of September 2010 as "Constitution Month"

in Pennsylvania.

WHEREAS, September 17, 2010, marks the 223rd anniversary of

4

the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America

5

by the Constitutional Convention; and

6

WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper to accord official

7

recognition to this magnificent document and its memorable

8

anniversary and to the patriotic celebrations which will

9

commemorate the occasion; and

10

WHEREAS, 36 U.S.C. § 108 guarantees the issuing of a

11

proclamation each year by the President of the United States of

12

America designating September 17 through 23 as "Constitution

13

Week"; therefore be it

14

RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the month of September

15

2010 as "Constitution Month" in Pennsylvania; and be it further

16

RESOLVED, That all Pennsylvanians be encouraged to recognize
