the revenue needed to operate essential government services; and

jobs to millions of out-of-work Americans through considerable

infrastructure rebuilding, green energy projects and other

15

projects that will require manufactured components; and

WHEREAS, Any domestically produced products that are

purchased with economic recovery plan funds will immediately

4

help struggling businesses and American families and will help

WHEREAS, Any economic recovery plan spending for products and

7

services should, to the extent possible, include a commitment

8

from the Commonwealth to buy materials, goods and services that

are produced or performed by companies within the United States,

10

thus employing the workers that pay taxes for the economic

11

recovery plan spending; therefore be it

12

RESOLVED, That the Senate work to maximize the creation of

13

American jobs and restore economic growth and opportunity by

14

urging the spending of economic recovery plan funds on products

16

employed; and be it further

17

RESOLVED, That the Senate urge that products that are made

18

and services that are performed in the United States be

19

purchased, when possible, with economic recovery funds received

by the Commonwealth; and be it further

21

RESOLVED, That the Senate call upon State agencies to
