No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Occupations Code to allow the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) and the Texas Commission on Jail Standards (TCJS) to develop additional training related to health and safety for county jailers. According to TCOLE and TCJS, the costs associated with the bill's provisions could be absorbed using existing resources.
