A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to bag and length limits for certain fish.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter A, Chapter 66, Parks and Wildlife
  Code, is amended by adding Section 66.025 to read as follows:
         Sec. 66.025.  BAG AND LENGTH LIMITS FOR CERTAIN FISH. The
  commission shall adopt rules for the possession of black and white
  crappie, including hybrids and subspecies, that establish:
               (1)  a daily bag limit of 15 fish;
               (2)  a minimum length limit of 12 inches; and
               (3)  no maximum length limit.
         SECTION 2.  As soon as practicable after the effective date
  of this Act, the Parks and Wildlife Commission shall adopt or amend
  rules as necessary to comply with the changes in law made by this
  Act.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2021.
