| Related to the production of water from a well | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 36.117, Water Code, is amended by adding | ||
| subsection (c-1) to read as follows: | ||
| (c) A district may not restrict the production of water from | ||
| any well described by Subsection (b)(1), except as provided by | ||
| Subsection (c-1). | ||
| (c-1) A district may restrict the use of water from a well | ||
| described by Subsection (b)(1) for the irrigation of turf grass or | ||
| ornamental landscape. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
