| WHEREAS, Elizabeth G. Alford has distinguished herself in her | ||
| responsibilities as a legislative intern in the office of State | ||
| Representative Terri Leo-Wilson during the 88th Legislative | ||
| Session; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Alford has provided | ||
| vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; | ||
| in addition to gaining valuable experience in the field of public | ||
| service, she has learned more about the legislative process and the | ||
| issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A sixth-generation Texan, Ms. Alford attended the | ||
| Barbers Hill Independent School District in Mont Belvieu, and she | ||
| is currently studying government and pre-law in the liberal arts | ||
| honors program at The University of Texas at Austin; she has | ||
| established an impressive record of leadership and civic | ||
| engagement, including founding and serving as president of Girls | ||
| Doing Good; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Elizabeth Alford has performed her duties as a | ||
| legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is indeed | ||
| deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, | ||
| be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Elizabeth | ||
| G. Alford for her service as a legislative intern in the office of | ||
| State Representative Terri Leo-Wilson and extend to her sincere | ||
| best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Alford as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
