| WHEREAS, With her arrival on January 1, Ava Marie Spikes | ||
| earned the distinction of becoming the first baby born in Jasper in | ||
| 2019; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This bundle of joy weighed 3 pounds, 11 ounces, and | ||
| measured 17 inches in length when she made her debut at 9:34 p.m. on | ||
| New Year's Day; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ava's birth has brought great happiness not only to | ||
| her mother, Alyssa Franklin, but also to her grandparents, | ||
| Charlesetta Malone and Marcus Franklin, and to her | ||
| great-grandparents, Dortha Samuel and Lovie Franklin; the town | ||
| joined Ava's family in celebrating this noteworthy birth, and many | ||
| Jasper businesses have showered her with gifts; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Ava begins her life sheltered in the warm embrace of | ||
| a wonderful family, and with their love, support, and guidance, she | ||
| may truly look forward to a bright and promising future; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Alyssa Franklin on the birth of her | ||
| daughter and welcome Ava Marie Spikes as a new citizen of Texas; | ||
| and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the family as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
