| WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and | ||
| meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends | ||
| of Reynaldo Molina III of La Casita, who passed away on August 4, | ||
| 2018, at the age of 29; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Reynaldo Molina Jr. and Esenia Bazan, | ||
| "Rey Rey" Molina was born on May 20, 1989; he graduated from Rio | ||
| Grande City High School in 2007; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Molina received his peace officer license from | ||
| the Laredo College Regional Law Enforcement Academy in 2010; he | ||
| went on to earn an associate's degree in criminal justice from South | ||
| Texas College in 2015 and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice | ||
| from Lamar University in 2017, and he distinguished himself in his | ||
| work as an investigator for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, At the time of his death, Mr. Molina was employed by | ||
| Sharyland High School in Mission as a criminal justice teacher; | ||
| passionate about education and his career field, he also served as | ||
| an adviser for the school's criminal justice club, and he created a | ||
| nurturing and supportive learning environment for his students, | ||
| inspiring some to continue their studies in criminal justice; a | ||
| kind and caring man, he was beloved for his optimism and strength of | ||
| character, and he made a lasting difference in his community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Although his journey on this earth ended far too | ||
| soon, Reynaldo Molina will forever be remembered with great | ||
| admiration and affection, and his dedication to his family, his | ||
| students, and his fellow educators will continue to serve as an | ||
| inspiration to all who knew him; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of | ||
| Reynaldo Molina III and extend deepest condolences to the members | ||
| of his family: to his mother, Esenia Bazan; to his father, Reynaldo | ||
| Molina Jr., and his wife, Nancy Molina; to his sister, Alissa | ||
| Molina; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Reynaldo | ||
| Molina. | ||
