R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Panhandle High School girls' 1,600-meter relay
  team took part in the 2013 University Interscholastic League Track &
  Field State Meet for 1A Division 1, and the team members merit
  special recognition for their skill and achievements; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the top competitors in Texas at Mike A.
  Myers Stadium in Austin on May 11, Tess Rusk, Kenzy Cates, Stormy
  Wood, and Jordan Molnar turned in a notable performance; they
  achieved a time of 4 minutes, 4.54 seconds, to earn fourth place and
  came very close to claiming a spot on the podium; and
         WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
  high school track and field athletes, these talented young Texans
  have ably represented their school, and they may cherish their
  memories of this notable accomplishment for years to come; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the members of
  the Panhandle High School girls' 1,600-meter relay team on their
  fourth-place finish in the 1A Division 1 competition at the UIL
  Track & Field State Meet and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
