| WHEREAS, Emma Lopez was awarded Honorable Mention All-Star | ||
| Cast recognition at the 2012-2013 University Interscholastic | ||
| League One-Act Play 1A state finals; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A student at West Texas High School in Stinnett, Ms. | ||
| Lopez gave a skilled performance as Mrs. Potter in an adaptation of | ||
| A Girl Called Opal; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her hard work and commitment to excellence, | ||
| Emma Lopez has distinguished herself in statewide competition, and | ||
| her accomplishments are a source of pride to her family and friends; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Emma Lopez on | ||
| earning Honorable Mention All-Star Cast recognition at the | ||
| 2012-2013 UIL One-Act Play 1A state finals and extend to her sincere | ||
| best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Lopez as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
