R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Dr. Jerry Dunn was named an Irving High Spirited
  Citizen by the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau in recognition
  of his volunteer efforts in the community; and
         WHEREAS, For more than 25 years, Dr. Dunn has operated
  Advanced Dental Care of Las Colinas, voted by the Greater
  Irving--Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce membership as Best in
  Irving for three years in a row; he has served as president of the
  Irving Dental Study Club and as a board member of the Irving
  Healthcare Foundation, and he regularly donates dental treatments
  to fund-raising events as prizes; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Dunn is a graduate of Abilene Christian
  University and the Baylor College of Dentistry; he has worked in
  behalf of education as a member of the PTA boards for three local
  public schools, and he is a lifetime member of the Texas PTA;
  moreover, he has given generously of his time and talents to a
  number of Irving area organizations and is a member of the
  Irving--Las Colinas Rotary Club and the Greater Irving--Las Colinas
  Chamber of Commerce; he is a valued member of Irving Bible Church as
  well; and
         WHEREAS, Sharing a love of the arts with his wife, Connie
  Dunn, Dr. Dunn has teamed with her to benefit the Irving cultural
  scene; the couple co-chaired the Irving Symphony League Ball, and
  both Dr. and Mrs. Dunn have been honored by the Irving Symphony
  Orchestra as members of the Amati Circle; in 2010, they were crowned
  king and queen of the Irving Community Theater Guild's Mardi Gras
  celebration; the Dunns are members of the Lyric Stage League, and
  Mrs. Dunn is a fellow 2013 Irving High Spirited Citizen; and
         WHEREAS, Jerry Dunn has demonstrated exceptional dedication
  to the betterment of his community, and his myriad contributions
  have garnered the lasting respect and appreciation of the residents
  of Irving; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Jerry Dunn on his selection as
  an Irving High Spirited Citizen by the Irving Convention and
  Visitors Bureau and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Dunn as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
