R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the friends and family
  of Connie Colleen Todd of Odessa, who passed away on June 5, 2013,
  at the age of 75; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Clover, Idaho, on October 27, 1937, to Helen
  and Johnny Williamson, the former Connie Williamson graduated from
  high school in Buhl, Idaho, and subsequently attended Boise
  Business College; a successful entrepreneur, she owned T&C Sales
  and was a co-owner of Urban Land Company and M&J Sitter Service; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Todd served in a Republican women's club and
  volunteered her time  with Make-A-Wish, Court Appointed Special
  Advocates, and the Civil Air Patrol; a woman of faith, she belonged
  to the First Church of the Nazarene; in her spare time, she enjoyed
  gardening, collecting miniature lighthouses and cars, and tending
  her powder blue 1979 Corvette; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted wife and mother, Mrs. Todd shared more
  than four decades of marriage with her husband, Tom, and she
  cherished her three children, Tammy, Mike, and Mindy; with the
  passing years, she experienced the joy of welcoming into her family
  6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Connie Todd
  will remember the way she touched their lives with her warmth and
  generosity, and she will forever occupy a treasured place in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
  Connie Colleen Todd and extend sincere condolences to the members
  of her family: to her husband, Tom Todd; to her children, Tammy
  Todd, Mike Todd and his wife, Anita, and Mindy Gregg and her
  husband, Wiley; to her siblings, Rita Strong, Johnny Williamson,
  Betty Williamson, and Lana Salter; to her grandchildren, Tia Gregg,
  Rusty Waggoner, Jason LeMoine, Jessica Gregg, Ashley Carpenter, and
  Amber Gregg; to her great-grandchildren, Brentley Swabby, Kagen
  Waggoner, Keaton Waggoner, Khloe Pearson, Faith Becker, Dayton
  LeMoine, Colton Gregg, Jayden Carpenter, Mallory Carpenter,
  William Carpenter, Jr., Emma Darby, and Kensley Darby; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Connie
  Todd.
