WHEREAS, April 11, 2011, marked the 30th wedding anniversary | ||
of Howard and Mary Ann Thompson of Woodway, providing a fitting | ||
opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as | ||
husband and wife; and | ||
WHEREAS, Howard Thompson and the former Mary Ann Carson were | ||
joined in matrimony in 1981 at a ceremony held at Baylor | ||
University's Miller Chapel in Waco; through the years, they have | ||
been blessed with a treasured family that includes two children, | ||
Ryan and Holly; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. Thompson is retired from public school teaching | ||
and administration and currently teaches music at McLennan | ||
Community College and serves as the choirmaster at St. Alban's | ||
Episcopal Church; music instructor at Speegleville Elementary | ||
School for the past 16 years, Mrs. Thompson also gives private voice | ||
and piano lessons and is the carillonneur at St. Alban's; and | ||
WHEREAS, The 30 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Thompson | ||
have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and | ||
commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who | ||
know them; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Howard and Mary Ann Thompson on | ||
their 30th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best | ||
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Thompson as an expression of high regard | ||
by the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
