R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of George
  Ernest Claude of Kirbyville, who passed away on April 21, 2013, at
  the age of 87; and
         WHEREAS, A native and lifelong resident of Kirbyville, Ernest
  Claude served his country in the United States Navy during World War
  II; afterward, he was an operator with Texaco in Port Arthur; and
         WHEREAS, Over the years, Mr. Claude was a source of wisdom and
  inspiration to his sons, Michael and David, and to his
  grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Although he is deeply missed, memories of this
  beloved man will be forever treasured by those who were fortunate
  enough to share in the richness of his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ernest Claude and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his sons,
  Michael R. Claude and his wife, Jennifer, and David E. Claude; to
  his daughter-in-law, Kim Claude; to his three grandchildren and two
  great-grandchildren; and to his many other relatives and friends;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ernest
  Claude.
